Fegime UK has over 30 Electrical Wholesaling member companies, comprising over 100 branches and with a geographical spread encompassing locations all over the UK such as Glasgow, Liverpool, Nottingham, Portsmouth, Bristol, Cardiff and London.
Fegime has an ongoing commitment to delivering success through value and communication ensuring members are consistently represented at the highest levels. A key accomplishment in this area is the development of a custom secure web portal designed to communicate and share documents incorporating changes in pricing frameworks and target achievements. This system enables frequent changes in these documents to be shared in a secure environment with a focused delivery of key information to key members and users.
The Challenge
Fegime sought to improve their operational efficiency by finding a solution to sharing and updating a large number of confidential documents pertaining to pricing frameworks, discount and revenue targets. A key obstacle was the requirement to ensure members were aware of which documents had been updated and provide a clear and visually dynamic mechanism for this identification. Previously this process used less secure protocols and required extensive manual work to keep members updated of changes, this created inefficiencies and slowed down the process of data sharing.
Their goal was to develop a secure solution that would streamline this process, providing a concise platform for members to gain access to key critical business data. The desired solution needed to automate the workflow whilst improving overall visibility of changes leading to an increased uptake in resource access.
The Solution
Through a collaborative approach, we gained a deep understanding of Fegime’s vision and specific requirements, enabling us to effectively support their mission to create a unique platform for their members. In July 2024, we began developing the secure environment and web portal, and by September 2024, version 1.0 was ready. This platform has greatly improved Fegime’s operational efficiency and communication strategy, leading to a significant uptake in resource access.
The previously drawn-out process became automated, linking documents updates to specific communication workflows linked to members. As a result, Fegime was able to implement changes in work practises, achieving direct savings in time whilst improving responsiveness to key updates on targets.
Through our partnership with Fegime, the platform has continuously evolved to incorporate new features that bring even greater benefits. Now fully integrated into Fegime’s processes, it serves as a valuable asset for its members. Designed with flexibility and security in mind, the platform is built on a robust architecture hosted within our dedicated infrastructure, enabling seamless updates and added functionality without sacrificing performance or long-term sustainability—key for meeting future needs.
We remain actively engaged in the platform’s ongoing development, leveraging the Aspurian agile development approach to continually introduce new functionalities. By integrating the latest innovations, we ensure lasting value for Fegime and its members.
